Logistics of Transmission Media

Language of instruction angličtina, čeština
Code 338-0550
Abbreviation LPM
Course title Logistics of Transmission Media
Coordinating department Department of Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Equipment
Course coordinator Ing. Jana Jablonská, Ph.D.

Anotace

The subject Logistics transmission media to acquaint students with the calculation of basic hydraulic parameters of suspensions flow - liquid (water, air) - solid particles. The subject is addressed the issue of physical properties of transported materials (grading curve) and dispersion systems (concentration, viscosity of suspensions), the movement of material particles in the fluid flow (sedimentation velocity, velocity of suspension) and will also explain the issue of flow modelling with particles. Furthermore, the subject deals with the technology of hydraulic and pneumatic transport. Applications of hydraulic transport (transport of coal in liquid, floating excavators and others) and pneumatic transport (transport of solid particles in the airflow, pipe mail and others) in practice will be discussed in the subject.
