Summary

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to describe the legal, organisational, operational and technical framework for the provision of air traffic services and explain the principles of airspace organisation, air traffic control, the application of separation standards, communication, coordination, and air traffic flow and capacity management. Students will be able to apply ATC procedures when addressing model operational situations, assess standard, emergency, abnormal and degraded conditions, evaluate the use of ATM systems, and identify operational and safety risks. Students will be able to propose appropriate operational, coordination and safety measures, formulate and defend professional opinions, and take responsibility for decision-making within the ATM/ANS environment.
