Anotace

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to explain the airframe structure of civil transport aircraft, describe the functions of the principal structural components, and analyse their interrelationships with respect to airworthiness and flight safety. They will be able to describe the materials and manufacturing technologies used in aircraft construction, as well as the design principles of the fuselage, wings, empennage, flight control surfaces, high-lift and drag devices, landing gear, and powerplant installation. Furthermore, students will be able to explain the principles of aircraft flight control, compare mechanical, hydraulic and Fly-by-Wire control systems, evaluate structural loading, basic aeroelastic phenomena, and the principles of aircraft testing, certification and current developments in airframe design. They will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to technical problems related to transport aircraft structures and demonstrate competencies consistent with the theoretical knowledge requirements of the EASA ATPL syllabus.
