Summary
This course introduces students to the operating principles, design, and performance characteristics of aircraft jet engines and other reactive engines. Emphasis is placed on the individual components of a jet engine, particularly the intake system, compressor, combustion chamber, turbine, exhaust system, and related engine systems. The course also covers operational cycles, safety systems, and basic maintenance requirements for aircraft jet engines.
