Subject syllabus

1. Problems of traffic IFR flight planning, legislation.
2. Line planning, ATC requirements, line optimization according to operator requirements.
3. Altitude planning, types of heights above obstacles, flight level system, RVSM space.
4. Flight speed planning, Mach number calculation, flight time optimization vs. fuel costs using the Cost index.
5. Measurement of distances, courses on maps, calculations of flight time, critical points on the route.
6. Airport planning, requirements for take-off, landing, alternate, en-route alternate, take-off alternate, weather planning minima, METAR, TAF, NOTAM, SNOWTAM.
7. Standard departure and arrival routes, instrument approach maps.
8. Fuel planning, individual fuel items, legislation.
9. In-flight fuel monitoring. Emergency procedures. Methods of reducing the amount of fuel. Transport of fuel.
10. Operational operational flight plan, creation, use, in-flight procedures. Use of EFB electronic documentation.
11. Special types of operation - RNAV, RNP, PBN.
12. Special types of operation - ETOPS, NAT-HLA, MNPS.
13. Special types of operation - PRM approach.
14. Repetition of topics, consultations, discussions on the subject matter.
