Language of instruction čeština
Code 342-0668
Abbreviation AV
Course title Aerodynamics for Vehicles
Coordinating department Institute of Transport
Course coordinator doc. Ing. Marian Bojko, Ph.D.

Anotace

The graduate of the course will be able to describe the basic concepts of fluid mechanics and turbulent flow and explain the origin of aerodynamic drag and vehicle noise. He will be able to apply experimental measurement methods in a wind tunnel and the basics of numerical flow modeling in evaluating the aerodynamic properties of the body of road and rail vehicles. He will be able to independently design and evaluate structural modifications to the shape of the body with regard to aerodynamic stability, performance and internal air conditioning of the vehicle and defend the chosen solution.
