Code 342-0673
Abbreviation AVT
Course title Applied Computational Methods
Coordinating department Institute of Transport
Course coordinator doc. Ing. Dušan Teichmann, Ph.D.

Summary

The graduate will be able to professionally describe the optimization problems covered, outline the methodology for solving them, select an appropriate solution method, and explain the principles of the individual stages of the solution process for specific optimization tasks. The graduate will be able to correctly apply the solution method, formulate a mathematical model for the problem at hand and solve it appropriately—for instance, using software such as MS Excel or Xpress-IVE—as well as interpret the results obtained from the computational methods used, and present and defend them effectively.
