Summary

The graduate will be able to describe the legislative and normative framework (TSI) for the operation of railway vehicles and categorize towed and driven railway vehicles. He will be able to explain the design of the basic structural units of railway vehicles (running gear, frame, superstructure, wheelset, suspension) and assess the layout of passenger, freight and special vehicles. He will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in the design of a partial structural solution of a railway vehicle.
