The graduate will be able to describe the basic characteristics of a random variable and explain the concepts of functional safety and risk analysis. He will be able to apply the FMEA and FTA analysis methods, calculate the diagnostic coverage and target failure rate of safety functions according to EN 61508 and ISO 26262 standards. He will be able to design and evaluate functional safety management measures for a specific transport technology system.
