The graduate will be able to describe the design solution of energy sources of traction vehicles and explain the principles of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical power transmission. He will be able to compare individual types of braking systems of rail vehicles and evaluate their suitability for a given type of vehicle. He will be able to describe the homologation procedure of rail vehicles and apply the acquired knowledge in the design of the traction vehicle concept.
