Graduates of this course will be able to identify the main environmental impacts of air transport, describe the strategic framework for sustainable aviation, and explain the principles of environmental performance assessment. They will be able to characterize the potential uses of sustainable fuels, alternative propulsion systems, and other technologies that reduce aviation’s environmental impact. Graduates will be able to apply methods for assessing environmental impacts, analyze and evaluate operational, technological, and economic data, and propose measures to increase the sustainability of air transport. They will be able to compare different technical and operational solutions and assess their environmental and economic effectiveness. Graduates will be able to independently formulate and defend expert opinions, critically evaluate proposed measures, and make evidence-based decisions in the field of sustainable aviation.
