Anotace

The subject is focused on potential impacts of road and rail transportation on environment and human health. The subject also includes definition and description of sources emitting particulates, organic compounds and inorganic gases and moreover particular examples of potential impacts on single components of the environment as a by-product of exhaust and non-exhaust processes. The issue of development of eco-friendly technologies and materials for reduction of environmental and health impacts of transportation and finally the legislative framework of this issue are also dicussed within this subject.
