1. Legal and regulatory framework for airport operations.
2. Protection of the airport and its surroundings – obstacle limitation surfaces, protected areas and obstacle assessment.
3. Classification, physical properties and composition of airport movement area pavements.
4. Deterioration of paved surfaces – condition monitoring, causes, development and repair of pavement damage.
5. Summer and winter maintenance of movement areas – planning, technical resources and procedures for summer and winter maintenance.
6. Braking action – its importance, influencing factors, methods of measurement and forms of publication.
7. Airport traffic regulations – movement principles and rules for carrying out works at the airport.
8. Apron operations and safety – traffic management, stand allocation, aircraft marshalling and push-back operations.
9. Airport operator safety management system – hazard identification, risk assessment and risk management.
10. Environmental impacts of air transport and airport operations.
11. Air transport of dangerous goods and handling of hazardous substances.
12. Airport rescue and firefighting service.
