Summary

Upon completion of the course, the student has an overview of the potential of various optimization methods, is able to identify different types of optimization problems, select and apply an appropriate solution method, formulate a mathematical model for the problem and solve it accordingly (e.g., using MS Excel or Xpress-IVE software), and interpret the results of the computational methods used, presenting and defending them effectively.
