Summary

The course introduces students to the modern concept of civil aviation safety management based on the systemic and proactive principles of the Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the relevant European Union regulations. Students acquire advanced knowledge of the principles of safety management, organizational safety policy, hazard identification, safety risk assessment, and the development of a positive safety culture. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the interactions between technical, human, and organizational factors that influence the overall safety performance of the aviation system.
