Materials and Surface Treatment Technologies

Summary

This course will introduce you to the subject of engineering materials. It will gradually introduce you to the different properties that different materials have and how to improve these properties through surface treatments of materials. You will learn how to increase resistance to corrosion and wear. You will gain a basic understanding of surface treatment methods and how they affect specific materials and how they affect sustainability and ecology. You will also learn how to recycle and process materials.
