Summary

The graduate of the course acquires comprehensive knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework of nuclear energy in the Czech Republic as well as in the international context, and is familiar with the Atomic Act and related implementing regulations. They understand the fundamental principles of international nuclear law and are able to assess their relationship to national legislation. They can analyze the legal consequences of major nuclear accidents, particularly in terms of liability for nuclear damage, and apply relevant legal regulations to specific situations in practice. At the same time, they are able to identify and interpret selected technical standards related to the construction and operation of nuclear facilities. The acquired knowledge is applied in addressing legal and techno-legislative aspects in the field of nuclear energy.
