Summary

The course focuses on modern 3D scanning and reverse engineering technologies. Students will become familiar with object preparation for scanning, the principles and operation of 3D scanners, and methods for processing the acquired data. They will develop skills in creating accurate digital models of physical objects and applying advanced modelling techniques. Students will learn to use scanned data for the analysis, design, and dimensional inspection of mechanical components in accordance with ISO GPS standards. The course also covers the comparison of scanned data with reference CAD models, the evaluation of measurement results, and the preparation of technical drawings. The learning outcome is the ability to independently apply 3D scanning and reverse engineering methods to the digitisation, modelling, and dimensional inspection of mechanical components.
