Engineering Metrology and Technical Measurements

Summary

The course deals with the importance of metrology in terms of ensuring consistency, accuracy and precision, state, legal and applied metrology. Determination of measurement uncertainties, measuring methods and measuring instruments, variations in size, shape, position, surface roughness. Dimensional circuits and principles of mutual interchangeability. The relationship of engineering metrology and quality - meaning, evaluation methods, characteristics, management systems, tools, security, economy and quality of statistical methods for quality control.
