Subject objectiv is application of the fundamentals of engineering mechanics, materials and manufacturing to the analysis, calculation and design of machine elements and mechanisms such as threaded fasteners (screws, bolts), joining components such as keys, pins, rivets, welds, adhesives, tapered rings (Federrings), press-fit connections, direct cone connection, further power transmission components such as power motion screws, various type of gears, especially spur gear train, gearing, belts, chains, shafts, splined and serrated shafts, and radial and thrust rolling bearings
