1. General principles of technical documentation – motivation, course introduction, links between university engineering courses and technical documentation
2. Creation of engineering drawings – projection methods, sections and cross-sections, dimensioning layout, standardization
3. Tolerancing and dimensional chains
4. Geometrical Product Specification (GPS)
5. General dimensional and geometrical tolerances, surface texture
6. Fundamentals of inspection and quality control of mechanical parts
7. Detachable joints – types of bolted joints, threads
8. Non-detachable joints – welding, adhesive bonding, riveting
9. Components of rotary and linear motion and their arrangement – axles and shafts
10. Components of rotary and linear motion and their arrangement – shaft–hub connections, articulated joints
11. Components of rotary and linear motion and their arrangement – bearings, methods of shaft support in bearings
12. Belt and chain drives, spur and helical gears, bevel gears
13. Plastics in machine design and additive manufacturing
