Expert Systems

Summary

This course is an introduction to expert systems concept. It contains an
overview of artificial intelligence fields, which found their application in
control and decision making support and are implemented as practical
applications for engineers. Each lecture and an exercise deals with a different
expert system, a knowledge based system and a consulting system, as well as
models for knowledge base building, connected to object oriented programming. A
development and an implementation of an expert system, a neural network
application and a genetic algorithm are shown for control of applications and
