Subject syllabus

1. Physical principles of nuclear energy, radioactive decay, neutron nuclear reactions, the balance of neutrons in a nuclear reactor.
2. Physical calculation, neutron diffusion, the critical equation of a nuclear reactor neutron flow.
3. Creation of heat in a nuclear reactor, heat flow distribution, temperature field in the course of the fuel element zone.
4. Regulation of nuclear reactor, reactor poisoning, iodine pit.
5. Types of nuclear energy, light water, heavy water, high-speed and gas cooled.
6. Nuclear cycle , fuels and fuel cells, production.
7. Storage and disposal of nuclear waste.
8. Diagrams of nuclear power, thermal efficiency and ways of increasing.
9. Technological loops, cleaning and coolant restraint systems compensate coolant, emergency reactor cooling, kontejments.
10. Steam generators in nuclear power plants, construction of vertical and horizontal ones PG calculate the main dimensions, dynamic features.
11. Primary circulation and feed pumps, valves, drip systems, air conditioning.
12. Turbine of nuclear power plants in deep steam condensation and cooling cycles, regenerative feedwater heater, control and start-up.
13. Nuclear heating and basics of thermonuclear energy.
14. Nuclear energy and the environment, economy of operation.
