Heat and Mass Transfer

Language of instruction angličtina, čeština
Code 361-0501
Abbreviation PTH
Course title Heat and Mass Transfer
Coordinating department Department of Power Engineering
Course coordinator prof. Ing. Stanislav Honus, Ph.D.

Summary

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will acquire knowledge in the field of momentum, heat, and mass transfer. The student will be able to describe and explain the fundamental mechanisms of transport phenomena, analyze momentum transfer in viscous fluid flow, and evaluate heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation, including mass transfer processes. Furthermore, the student will be able to apply the governing equations of transport phenomena to solve engineering problems and use basic modeling approaches for the analysis of steady-state and transient heat and mass transfer processes.
