Abbreviation JEZ
Course title Nuclear Power Equipment
Coordinating department Department of Power Engineering
Course coordinator prof. Ing. Stanislav Honus, Ph.D.

Summary

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will acquire knowledge in the field of thermal calculations, design, and construction of nuclear power plant systems. The student will be able to describe and explain the function of the primary circuit of a nuclear power plant and its main components, analyze their operational and thermodynamic parameters, and assess their impact on the safe and efficient operation of the system. Furthermore, the student will be able to apply fundamental principles of thermal calculations in the design of selected nuclear energy equipment and demonstrate an understanding of constructional and operational solutions of various types of nuclear power systems.
