Subject syllabus

1. Introduction to the assignment, specification of the technical problem, and discussion with the lecturer.
2. Analysis of technical requirements, standards, and operating parameters of the equipment.
3. Collection and study of background materials; review of technical solutions for similar equipment.
4. Conceptual design of the equipment and preparation of the technological scheme.
5. Preparation of the basic mass and heat balance.
6. Balance and sizing calculations of the main components of the equipment.
7. Verification calculations and optimization of design parameters.
8. Preliminary mechanical design and determination of principal dimensions.
9. Strength or mechanical assessment of selected components (depending on the type of equipment).
10. Preparation of design documentation – assembly drawing.
11. Preparation of a manufacturing drawing of a selected component.
12. Preparation of the technical report and techno-economic evaluation of the design.
13. Presentation of results to fellow students and professional discussion; optional technical visit to selected equipment related to the construction project topic

Students will be added to the study group by the relevant teacher. Students will receive a direct link to the study group by email.
