Lectures:
Basic electrical power terms, balance of electricity production and consumption and types of power plants.
Basics of nuclear power. Energy use of water.
Electrical part of power plants.
Renewable energy, safety and environment, fuel cells.
Energy storage. Batteries. Backup.
Smart grids, intelligent power management.
Electrical machinery and appliances. Power distribution systems.
Design of electrical and electronic equipment, safety. Electromagnetic compatibility.
Heat transfer. Basics of heating.
Industrial heating.
Basic concepts of lighting technology.
Light sources, luminaires.
Lighting systems.

Exercises:
Basic electrical power terms (systems, load diagram).
Balance calculations of condensation power plants.
Balance calculations of nuclear power plants.
Balance calculations of water power plants.
Energy saving calculations.
Heat transfer. Heating appliances parameters.
Light devices basis practice.
Parameters of light sources and luminaires, calculations of energy consumption of luminaires.
