Subject syllabus

Lectures:
Parameters and definition of various operation ambient.
Degradation processes in electric machines and influence upon functional properties.
Operation and failure states of transformers.(Short circuit and connection to network).
Properties of asynchronous motor fed by no sinusoidal voltage.
Properties of asynchronous motor fed from frequency converter.
Starting up and braking of asynchronous motors. Kinds, methods and properties.
Starting-up of synchronous motors.
Synchronous machines short circuit.
DC machines operation. Slide contact function.
Properties of DC machines by feeding of wavy current.
Technical diagnostic. Sorts and manners of diagnostic.
Reliability and diagnostic of transformers, measurement and oil diagnostic.
Reliability of rotating electric machines.
Diagnostic of electric machines. Measurable quantities for electric machines single parts.


Exercises:
Ambient analysis and its action.
Voltage drop calculation by transformers operation.
Voltage drop calculation by starting-up of motors.
Motor power output calculation by various sorts of load.
Motor design for crane drives.

Introducing to laboratory. Safety working. Conditions of study.
Measuring of Transformer switching, three-phase transformer asymmetry.
Circle diagram of asynchronous motor.

Projects:
Project consists of elaboration of protocols from laboratory exercises, with values, diagrams and evaluation of results and terminal work by students of combined study.
