Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
– analyses the principles of electrical protection systems and their role in power systems,
– calculates short-circuit conditions and applies the results to the design and setting of protection systems,
– designs and sets appropriate protection functions for lines, transformers, and other electrical equipment,
– applies the principles of electromechanical, electronic, and digital protection systems,
– evaluates the performance of protection systems based on calculations and experimental measurements.
