This course focuses on the methodology and practical procedures involved in the design and construction of electrical switching devices. Students will acquire knowledge of the principles of dimensioning current-carrying paths, contact switching systems, and insulation systems, with an integration of technical standards into engineering practice. There is an accent on the ability to work independently with technical literature, technical documentation, and catalogs from manufacturers of electrical apparatuses, components, and materials, which will enable students to effectively solve complex design problems in the field of electrical devices.
