Summary

This course focuses on automotive sensor technologies, setpoint sensors, circuits for processing the output signals of these components, protection principles, and the application of the necessary mathematical tools. The course will cover the theory of the design, properties, and applications of electronic chassis (CHASSIS), body (BODY), and powertrain (POWERTRAIN) systems, including specific subsystems. Graduates will be able to describe the operating principles of automotive sensors and the circuits used to process their signals, explain their design, characteristics, and applications, and assess their suitability for specific applications. They will be able to characterize the function and interrelationships of electronic systems in the chassis, body, and powertrain, analyze their input and output variables, and evaluate basic operational and fault conditions. Furthermore, they will be able to propose a basic method for processing, protecting, and evaluating sensor signals.
