Summary

Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
– analyses the operating principles and characteristics of modern power semiconductor devices,
– applies appropriate power semiconductor devices and control methods in the design of electrical energy converters,
– analyses and assesses the operation of power semiconductor systems, including their control components,
– designs a basic power semiconductor system for a specific application,
– evaluates the suitability of the designed system for applications in power supplies, AC power controllers, or electrical drives.
