1. Information theory, information entropy, coding, noisy and noiseless channel, channel capacity.
2. Kendall's classification of queueuing systems, general notation and solution of basic models.
3. QoS vs QoE and approaches to achieving QoS.
4. Models of network traffic and their use in determining qualitative parameters of transmission in IP networks.
5. Methods of evaluating the quality of multimedia services I.
6. Methods of evaluating the quality of multimedia services II.
7. Evaluation of the quality of the Internet access service (ČTÚ - invited lecture)
8. Network modeling in software tools
9. Concept of SDN networks and their use.
10. Quality of service in SDN networks - I.
