1. Introduction to radar systems, history of radiolocation, current development of radar technology, basic terms
2. Principles of radio positioning, types of positioning systems, applications
3. Timing and phase measurement systems, principle of time delay measurement, resolution, uniqueness, accuracy, DOP factor, Angle and Doppler system of position and velocity measurement, resolution, uniqueness, accuracy, DOP factor
4. Primary radar PSR, precision landing radar PAR, basic description, and use.
5. Precision landing radar PAR, basic description, and use.
6. Secondary radar MSSR, basic description and use.
7. FMCW radar, ADSB system, 3D Radar, basic description and usage
8. Radionavigation systems NDB, VOR, ILS, MLS, Meteorological radars, remote sensing, georadar (GPR), synthetic aperture radar (SAR)
9. Antenna systems in radar technology, types of antenna diagrams, vertical diagram of 2D radar coverage, Antenna diagram of 3D radars, determination of target height, Electromagnetic wave propagation in the atmosphere, terrain and barriers.
10. Reflections from objects, types of targets (swerling I, swerling II), RCS calculation, use of field simulator in RCS calculation, RCS measurement
11. Radar equation of monostatic and bistatic primary radar, modified shapes, range equations, methods of calculation and application to specific types of radar, Beacon equation of secondary radar, modified shapes, range equations, methods of calculation and applications
