Selected Parts of Optical Communications

Summary

The main goal of this subject is to educate the graduates in understanding of fundamental parts of optical communication, digital and analog systems for telecommunication, CATV and FTTX applications. Systems of wireless communication with the support of fiber networks are also the integral part of this subject. Graduate familiarizing with except networking organization individual element active and passive fibre optical rush.A focus is especially devoted to the structures of optical transmitters and receivers, semiconductor and fiber amplifiers, modulation principles with enforcement of meaning and role of external modulators and noise ratio in optical communication systems.
