The subject is conceived as a thematic unit, providing basic knowledge of hygiene and epidemiology as scientific disciplines aimed at protecting and promoting health. It defines the health risks of the environment and the working environment and the possibilities of protection against negative effects, it deals with prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases and their possible complications.
