Summary

A digital twin represents a virtual model of a real technical or manufacturing system used for the design, verification, and optimization of industrial processes and technologies. During the course, students will learn the fundamentals of creating a digital twin for simulating manufacturing processes and the behavior of industrial technologies. The course is practically oriented—students work with selected software tools for modeling, simulation, visualization, and virtual commissioning. They will learn to create basic CAD models, configure kinematic relationships, simulate production flows, control machine logic, and connect the model to a virtual or real control system. The aim is for the student to acquire practical skills applicable to the design, debugging, and optimization of manufacturing processes within a digital factory environment.
