Lectures:
Development from central hierarchical control systems to distributed control systems. Hardware and software equipment of distributed control systems.
Relationship between system and subsystem. Communication in distributed control systems. Messages.
Network architecture based on ISO/OSI model.
Physical layer of ISO/OSI model. Communication standards RS232, RS485, RS422.
Link layer of ISO/OSI model. Access methods to communication media.
Network layer of ISO/OSI model. Network topology. Bus, ring topology. Networks interconnections.
Local networks - Ethernet, Industrial Ethernet, protocols TCP/IP etc.
Distributed control systems realization. Communication in distributed control systems.
Industrial networks - ASI.
Industrial networks - Profibus.
Industrial networks - CAN, Lin.
Industrial networks - Profinet, Ethernet Powerlink.
Communication systems in building control.
Presentation of individual projects.
