Subject syllabus

1. Safety in the laboratory and when handling installed mobile robotic systems, introduction to the issue of automatic mobile robots (History of AGV, design and methodology)
2. Safety of mobile robots (safety systems, collision avoidance, personal protection)
3. Navigation of mobile robots (cable, guide tape, laser navigation, Inertial (gyroscopic) navigation, visual guidance, Natural guidance, Geoguidence, induction navigation)
4. Control and steering (manual steering, automatic steering)
5. Optimal path selection (Frequency mode, path selection mode, magnetic guidance mode)
6. Traffic control (zone control, collision avoidance, combined traffic control)
7. Power supply of mobile robot (battery management, wireless charging, operating range)
8. Communication interface of mobile robots (communication standards and protocols, security)
9. Mobile robot management (service and maintenance)
10. Types of mobile robots (tractors, pallet trucks, trucks for the transport of handling units, trolleys)
11. Use and application of mobile robots (areas of use, load capacity, speed, endurance)
12. Mobile robot MiR100 (we will get acquainted with specific types and parameters of mobile robots)
13. Examples of implementations and operation of mobile robots (implementation of AGV on CPIT TL3)
14. Further development of mobile robots (trends in the development and approach to AGV issues)
