Sensor Networks for Remote Monitoring of Biosignals

Summary

Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject deals with wearables and pliable sensors. Key areas of interest are miniaturized biosensors suitable for both wearable and implantable devices, biocompatibility and materials to ensure long-term use of sensors, low-power wireless communication, integrated circuits and systems, energy harvesting, autonomous sensing, standards and integration to existing systems. Also included are non-battery solutions for modern wearable sensors, technical means, and principles of their implementation.
