Electrical Apparatus I

Summary

This basic course explains the relevant questions of the switching devices.
Students are acquainted with the principles of the transient processes in
electric circuits and with their force and thermal effects upon the circuit
elements. Further the principles of dc and ac current circuits breaking, the
significance of the protection, the action of the fuses and of the circuit
breakers are cleared up. In the conclusion of the course the remaining
structure parts of the electrical apparatus, special switching events and test
procedures of the electrical apparatus are dealt with.
