Electrical Appliances in Switching Stations and Switchboards

Summary

This course follows Electrical Apparatus 1 course. A theory of the contacts
including the constructing materials and methods of design is added to the
theory of switching devices. The main part of this course deals with
classification of the switching devices, their characteristics and their
design. In the concluding part of this subject basic principles of the design
of the switchgears and the switching stations in power systems for all operated
voltage levels from high voltage to extra high voltage are explained.
