Summary

The subject is devoted to basic properties of light, their usage for telecommunications, measurements and image creation. The substantial part of subject is created with modulation principles, information transmission through atmosphere and other dielectric media. A student will know the basic construction of optical sources and receivers and some techniques of optical signals processing.
