Summary

The subject represents the introduction to the artificial intelligence methods and tools, with special focus on knowledge systems application in control systems and expert systems. Students will be acquainted with fundamentals of artificial intelligence principles and also with its practical use in diploma thesis and their next engineering praxis.
The following topics are discused: the sources and principles of artificial intelligence, the classical and multivariable logic, complex problems solution. Methods for decision support in environment with lack of objective information and uncertainty. Fuzzy mathematics an fuzzy logic principle, fuzzy control and expert systems. Probability systems,principles and application of neural networks and genetic algorithms in the field of modern cybernetics and robotics.
