Development and Visualization of Control Systems

Summary

The course development and visualization of control systems attends to possibilities of visualization of technological processes. Visualization systems together with programmable logic controllers are commonly used in the field of automatic control. They cover two lowest levels of factory management - direct control and process visualization user interface).
The course attends to:
- lower level of process visualization ( operator panels )
- higher level of process visualization (HMI/SCADA) software
During the course students works with both types. Operator panels are represented by Siemens Simatic OP7 ( or other) and HMI/SCADA software is represented by system Wonderware Intouch, USDATA FactoryLink ECS, Siemens WinCC and Microsys Promotic2000.
Lectures contain information about visualization methods, give them overview on different products and give them more detail information about chosen products.
Students develop visualization application in practical exercises at laboratory. They connect visualization systems to control systems as PLC or microcontrollers.
