Information Systems and Data Warehousing

Summary

In the first part of this course is to further deepen the knowledge on the development of methods for classical operational information systems (OLTP) and practical skills to process analysis, design implementation, implementation, documentation and final presentation of a large IS. The team is treated as a semester project more IS, adequate in scope and manner of processing and details of any thesis on IS.
In the second part of the course are detailed discussed theoretical and practical data warehouse (DS) as a new type of database, OLAP, and a new type of decision support systems. Described developmental stages DS, concrete examples of how analysis is made DS. Practicing in MS SQL Server implementation of DS processed by analysis. Part of the semester project is to analyze and implementation of DS, the database is implemented by entering the IS.
