Magnetic Properties of Solids

Summary

The course includes fundamentals of magnetism and magnetic properties of
solids. It is focused on understanding of basic properties of magnetic
materials, microscopic origin of magnetism, its phenomenological description,
magnetic circuits, soft magnetic materials, permanent magnets, magnetic
transport effects, magnetic properties of superconductors. Magnetic properties
of materials are related to their applications in magnetic storage, sensors,
and spin electronics.
