Acoustic and diagnostic Methods in Engineering Practice

Summary

The course provides the fundamentals of measuring diagnostic methods. Gradually particular diagnostic methods are discussed, namely vibration diagnostics, noise diagnostics, acoustic emission, tomography, interferometric methods, ultrasonic methods, magnetic methods, electromagnetic methods, radiology and capillary methods. In addition, the method of analysis, processing and interpretation of diagnostic signals are discussed. In each chapter, practical applications with examples of engineering practice are highlighted.
