Summary

The Mineral Deposits course is a multidisciplinary field of study drawing on a wide range of scientific disciplines. Particular attention is devoted to the genesis of mineral deposits, their classification, and their economic significance for human society.
Professional Knowledge: Upon completion of the course, the student will acquire comprehensive professional knowledge of the genesis and classification of mineral deposits. The student will also gain knowledge of selected mineral deposits in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Professional Skills: The student will learn to identify different types of metallic, non-metallic, and energy mineral resources and to describe and evaluate them in greater detail.
Professional Competences: The student will acquire the competence necessary for a basic understanding of mineral resource-related issues. This fundamental knowledge provides a basis for further study in individual scientific disciplines related to this field.
