Mineral Deposits, Exploration and Reserve Estimation

Anotace

Student obtaines the informations about the importance of the mineral raw
materials for the economy of the state. The definition of the
terms "mineral” , "mineral deposit" and “mineral raw material", "mineral reserves
and resources" will explained. The lectures also include mineralogical and
petrographical composition of the mineral deposits, classification of the mineral
reserves and resources, geological conditions of the mineral deposits origin,
morphology of the mineral deposits and review main industry types of the mineral
deposits. A conception of the mining law in the field of the geological exploration,
its strategy and technical means are explained, just like relations between
geological exploration and mineral reserves and resources and between estimation
of the mineral deposits reserves and the mines construction. Explained are also
problems of the mineral statistics and mineral balance.
